The American senator announced to the President of Taiwan, Lai Ching-te, that the USA will continue to support the island in its defense.
The senator also expressed support for the Taiwanese people and stated that ensuring regional security remains a priority for the United States. According to him, America will continue to strengthen Taiwan's defense with military assistance under the conditions of a signed defense cooperation agreement.
"We take pride in our partnership with Taiwan and will continue to support the island's defense capabilities," the senator emphasized.
It's worth noting that relations between the USA and Taiwan are at a high level, despite China's objections, which considers Taiwan part of its territory.
