Trump's Border Wall Campaign Intensifies

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is focusing his efforts on strengthening border security, declaring a national emergency at the border with Mexico in January 2025. During a speech before Congress, Trump denounced the presence and power of criminal cartels on the Mexican side, accusing them of representing a threat to the national security of his country. In response to this situation, he has announced plans to intensify the fight against these organizations.

In this context, the Secretary of Homeland Security of the United States, Kristi Noem, has communicated the construction of more than 11 kilometers of border wall in Arizona. Noem highlighted a 95% decrease in illegal crossings at the southern border of the country during Trump’s administration, attributing it to the implementation of stricter federal laws that make illegal crossing more difficult.

Additionally, six Mexican groups, including the Sinaloa Cartel, have been identified as 'global terrorist organizations.' This designation reflects the stance of the U.S. government in its fight against drug trafficking and organized crime in the region. Noem emphasized the importance of these measures to restore security in the United States and allow border agents to fulfill their law enforcement duties.

Trump's and his administration's commitment is manifested in the expansion of security infrastructure at the border with Mexico, establishing a clear message about the firmness of his immigration policy and the determination to combat drug trafficking and other cross-border crimes.
