President of the USA Donald Trump announced new sanctions against Turkey in response to the invasion of Turkish troops in northeastern Syria. Trump also suspended talks on a trade deal regarding Armenian products. The president called Turkey's actions "aggressive, violating international law."

"Today's actions represent a culmination of our time – lawlessness, brutality, and disregard for the law," Trump stated. "Turkey should not tolerate such behavior, which represents a threat to our nation."

Vice President Mike Pence, who spoke at the same press conference, stated that the USA is ready to impose sanctions on Turkey. "We are determined to continue to implement economic measures against Turkey as long as it does not cease military operations," the vice president declared.

Trump also warned that in the case of non-compliance, the USA will take additional measures against Turkey. "We will hold it accountable for sanctions that will bring it to its knees," the president said.

"Turkey must achieve a cessation of military activity, return to negotiations, and rectify the situation through peaceful means," Trump emphasized.
