DHS Secretary Warns Immigrants: Leave Now or Face Deportation

The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Kristi Noem, has launched a campaign to warn undocumented immigrants to leave the United States or face deportation and a ban on returning. On the other hand, the Mexican embassy in the U.S. has urged its citizens to be prepared to protect their children in the event of deportation, reminding them of their rights to protect their family members.

According to the embassy, it is important to ensure that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are informed about the dependency of minors. Additionally, compatriots have been advised to communicate that they are the primary caregivers of the minors in all their interactions with authorities.

In another area, Mexico’s Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs, Enrique Javier Ochoa, has requested the UN Human Rights Council to advocate for the role of migrant communities in host countries and ensure respect for human rights in the context of deportation threats from the U.S.

In contrast, the Donald Trump administration has implemented a plan to expel immigrants in irregular situations, supported by a national and international advertising campaign. Trump has emphasized that those present illegally in the country must leave immediately, otherwise they will be deported.

"We will find you and deport you," is the main message being conveyed through various media outlets. Trump has made it clear that his administration seeks mass expulsions of immigrants, arguing they pose a threat to the nation. The Department of Homeland Security supports this advertising offensive and recent decrees aimed at enforcing immigration law firmly.
