President Donald Trump held his first cabinet meeting, broadcasting it through social networks. He passed the word to Elon Musk, whose company DOGE has faced opposition due to its economic policies. Nonetheless, Trump distanced himself from the Tesla CEO's work and stated that those who do not agree with his plans for cuts and control can leave his cabinet.
Trump supported the Department of Energy's effective management and stated that there is no such opposition among his cabinet members regarding the magnetism practices of politicians. "Is there anyone who is not satisfied with Elon? If so, we will send him out of here," joked Trump before the vice president and the secretaries of all departments forming the U.S. government.
Elon Musk, who was the first to speak up, although technically not part of the cabinet, received a grumpy round of applause from all the heads of government departments. The personnel management office sent an electronic letter to all federal employees last week in February, requiring them to indicate five completed tasks for the previous week or risk being fired. Nonetheless, the FBI and Pentagon instructed their employees not to respond to the request.
Around half of all federal employees, according to Musk's words, have responded to the electronic letter. The head of Tesla stated that he is fulfilling what the president requires of him, and rejected opposition to his initiatives in the government, considering that the current cabinet is the most talented and the best "in all of history."
However, Musk also stated that those who do not take the electronic letter seriously will soon find their careers in another place. According to American media sources, members of Trump's team are starting to see how unnecessary it is, as well as interference in activities in Musk's presence, which only increased tension in the administrative body. Musk asserts that there are "transparent" workers in the U.S. government and that his electronic letter appeals to demonstrate their existence.
