Additionally, the former president criticized President Joe Biden's handling of the conflict, claiming that the United States has spent a large sum of money on a war he considers unnecessary and that cannot be won without his intervention.
Trump also mentioned that the Biden administration has proven to be incapable of negotiating peace and that Europe has failed in its attempt to mediate in the conflict. He concluded his publication by affirming his love for Ukraine, while criticizing Zelensky's performance and lamenting the consequences for the country, with millions of people dying unnecessarily.
These criticisms add to Trump's previous comments, where he expressed his intention to change the United States' stance toward Ukraine once he returns to the White House. Previously, Zelensky had responded to Trump, accusing him of living in a "bubble of misinformation" and refuting his claims about his popularity level in Ukraine. The Ukrainian president also referenced the circulation of false information coming from Russia regarding his government and its management.
