NASA Plans Early Return for Astronauts

NASA Plans Early Return for Astronauts

The American space agency NASA announced yesterday that two American astronauts, who have been stranded on the International Space Station since June of last year, may return to Earth earlier than expected, possibly in mid-March. President Donald Trump promised to return them as soon as possible. Astronauts Botch Uilmore and Sonny Williams arrived at the ISS in June of last year on Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. It was expected that they would spend eight days in the orbital laboratory, but technical issues forced NASA to change its plans.

It was announced that SpaceX, Boeing's competitor, will return astronauts to Earth this February, but the operation was postponed. The agency announced that it will be using the Dragon spacecraft, clarifying that the return of the astronauts will occur after a transfer procedure, which will last several days between the crews.
