EU Warns of Strong Response to Trump's Threats

The European Union expressed serious concern regarding the statements made by the President of the USA, Donald Trump, about the possible reinstatement of customs duties on imported cars from Europe. In the event this threat is realized, the EU is ready to react decisively.

Vice-President of the European Commission Jyrki Katainen stated: "We hope that the United States will understand that this is unacceptable and that the response will be tough." He added that Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Commission, will send a letter to Trump urging him to refrain from such a step.

At the same time, the EU is ready for dialogue to prevent the introduction of new tariffs. At the same time, they specified that they are ready to provide opposition if the USA still reinstates duties on cars from Europe.
