The singer Lupillo Rivera asked Donald Trump to stop mass deportations, arguing that this measure negatively affects the United States and migrants from Mexico and other Latin American countries. Rivera urged the President of the United States to allow migrants to regularize their immigration status, live with dignity, and contribute to the economic growth of the country.

Since Donald Trump took office on January 20, around 4,000 migrants have been deported, mostly of Mexican origin. Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico, reported that 4,094 people were forced to leave the United States in the week following Trump's inauguration.

Lupillo Rivera, brother of the late singer Jenni Rivera, published a letter addressed to Donald Trump in which he advocates for a "second chance" for Mexican migrants in the United States. Born in California, the singer has Mexican roots that motivated him to dedicate himself to regional Mexican music. In his letter, Rivera highlights the contribution of migrants to the economy and society of the United States.

In his statement, Lupillo Rivera expresses his support for migrants and their importance in the United States, describing them as fundamental in various sectors such as construction, health, technology, and agriculture. Rivera asks for an opportunity for migrants to work legally, without fear, with the goal of contributing positively to the country.
