Trump Administration's Directives to Aid Agency Employees

The U.S. administration under Trump is pressuring employees to align with the 'America First' policy. A memo warns of disciplinary actions against those ignoring orders amid a freeze on foreign aid.

Trump Administration's Directives to Aid Agency Employees

The administration of President Donald Trump has called on employees of the U.S. Agency for International Development to join the efforts of Washington to enhance global assistance efforts in line with the policy of "America First."

In a sharp note, sent to more than 10,000 employees of the Agency on Saturday, additional instructions were provided for implementing the directive on "work stoppage," which was signed at the end of the week and effectively amounted to a complete halt to American foreign aid worldwide.

"The memorandum specified that employees are expected to assist in achieving Trump's goals and warned of possible 'disciplinary measures' against any employee ignoring the directives of the administration," the document notes.
