The United States deported 2,000 foreigners by land and air with the reintroduction of the "Remain in Mexico" policy. The State Department spokesperson reported that the Mexican government intensified its brigades in the nine repatriation assistance centers to receive the deported individuals.
As part of the reimplementation of the policy, four ICE flights to Mexico were conducted in coordination with local authorities. "Promises made, promises kept," stated spokesperson Tammy Bruce, highlighting the success of the partnership between the two countries.
For its part, the Mexican government provided 189 buses to transport the repatriated Mexicans to the assistance centers, where they will receive services such as reintegration, medical care, food, and accommodation.
