Congressman Ogles Proposes Amendment for Trump's Third Term

Republican Congressman Andy Ogles from Tennessee has introduced a resolution this week that would allow president of the United States, Donald Trump, and any future president, to opt for a third term. Ogles argues that the administration of former president Joe Biden has left a "disastrous" course that Trump must correct, demonstrating his commitment to the American people and the nation.

"President Trump has proven time and again that his loyalty is to the American people and our great nation above all else," Ogles emphasized. The resolution, if approved, would extend the current limit of two presidential terms established by the Constitution, opening the possibility for Trump to seek a third term.

The proposed amendment states that no president can be elected more than three times or serve in any additional period after two consecutive terms. It is important to note that this proposal does not aim to allow other living former presidents such as Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, or Barack Obama to seek a third term, as none of them would benefit from this provision if it were to be approved.

Congressman Ogles argues that Trump is "the only figure in modern history capable of reversing the decline of our nation and restoring the greatness of the United States". Therefore, he proposes this constitutional amendment to allow the current and future president to serve up to a third term, ensuring "the bold leadership that our nation so desperately needs".

Donald Trump was the second president of the United States to win two non-consecutive terms in the history of the country, after Grover Cleveland. Ogles calls on the House of Representatives to approve this proposal and allow Trump to continue in the presidency to keep working on restoring the republic and the well-being of the country.
