President Donald Trump appointed Shawn Karrna, who accompanied him during the time of the assassination in Pennsylvania in July, to the position of internal security.
As reported, Karrna was close to Trump when a notification about the assassination appeared on one of the running feeds. He also ensured the president's safety, regardless of the risk to his life.
"Shawn and I shared a moment that will always remain in our hearts. His unwavering fearless presence in the face of everyday danger elevated us both," Trump said, announcing Karrna's appointment.
