Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States, becoming the oldest president by age to assume office at 78 years old. He became the 47th president in the country's history.
In his inauguration speech, he emphasized the importance of uniting the country and the victory of democracy. Trump also thanked his supporters and pledged to work for the good of all Americans.
"I pledge to do everything within my power to bring our country to greatness. I have no words to express my deep gratitude to you, Americans, for the trust you have placed in me," Trump said.
