Dave Coulier Faces Hodgkin Lymphoma Diagnosis

Actor Dave Coulier recently revealed that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. After receiving the news, Coulier decided to start treatment to combat the disease and prevent it from spreading to his bone marrow. Despite the shocking news, the actor felt surprisingly calm about the situation, inspired by his family's attitude who have faced similar cases in the past, with his mother, a sister, and a niece dying from breast cancer.

Coulier explained that the diagnosis came after experiencing a respiratory infection in October, which led him to undergo chemotherapy treatment. He revealed that upon learning of his condition, he decided to shave his head as a precautionary measure, as hair loss is common during such treatment. The actor highlighted the support he received from his family, especially his wife, son, and sister, during this difficult time.

Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, Coulier remains optimistic and hopeful about his recovery. He shared his experience on his podcast 'Full House Rewind' with Marla Sokoloff, pointing out that the support he has received has been crucial in facing this new stage in his life. The actor emphasized that the outlook for recovery has significantly improved since he started chemotherapy treatment, going from low possibilities to a 90% chance of recovery, which has changed his perspective on the disease.

The rapid swelling of the lymph nodes in Coulier's body led him to seek medical attention, where the diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma was confirmed. Despite the initial shock and surprise, the actor is determined to face the illness with courage and optimism. Coulier is grateful for the support and strength he has found in his close environment and hopes to overcome this challenge with determination and faith in his recovery.
