President of the USA Donald Trump has appointed Dr. Casey Minns to the position of "Chief Surgeon of America". Minns is an influential figure in the healthcare sector, in social media, and close to the U.S. Secretary of Health, Robert Kennedy Jr.
Trump stated on social media that Minns has "unprecedented qualifications", and will also work on eliminating chronic ailments, improving health and well-being of Americans. The Chief Surgeon of America is appointed by the U.S. President with the Senate's approval, and the candidate must be selected from members of the American Public Health Service, possess specialized training or substantial experience in the field of public health.
Minns and her sister Kelly, former members of the administration, worked as senior advisors in the campaign of Kennedy Jr. for the presidency in 2024. They supported Trump last summer and met with one of the largest media figures of the president, analyst Tucker Carlson, and radio host Joe Rogan. Kelly Minns works as an advisor in the White House and often appears on TV to promote limited programs for Snapchat, the removal of fluoride from drinking water, and other issues of the current ministry of health's agenda.
Minns has no experience in public service, she declined from the medical program, expressing disappointment in traditional medicine, and founded the company "Levels" in health technologies, which helps users monitor their blood sugar levels and other indicators.
