Tragic Death of Teen in Social Media Challenge

A dangerous challenge spread on social media that led to the death of a 14-year-old teenager in South America. The teenager inhaled a mixture of water mixed with a dead puppy. He used a syringe found in his room to inject the mixture into his own body. Soon after, the boy felt nausea, lost the ability to walk, and his condition deteriorated, ultimately he was hospitalized. However, a week after treatment he passed away in the hospital. Many suggest that the toxins present in these mixtures could be the cause of the tragedy.

A doctor from the hospital where the boy was taken suggested that his death might have been caused by a poisoning from the substance due to an injection. Since it is unknown what was contained in the mixture or how much of it he ingested, it is difficult to pinpoint the cause of death without an autopsy. It is possible that the cause was also an allergic shock.

Although most puppies are considered harmless, the species of puppies known as monarchs contain high concentrations of toxins due to their diet. The challenge that led to the teenager's death began on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, where people were drawing puppies on their bodies, but then it turned out to be something much more dangerous.
