ViX to Premiere 'Jenni' Inspired by Jenni Rivera

The streaming platform ViX announced the premiere of the film 'Jenni', inspired by the life of the iconic singer Jenni Rivera, who passed away in 2012. The film will be released on December 6 and will star actress and singer Annie González.

'Jenni' tells the story of the famous singer from her beginnings to her tragic death, showcasing her meteoric rise and legacy. The movie will be premiered on ViX and in selected theaters in the United States and Mexico.

Annie González, who is also an executive producer, leads the cast alongside Manuel Uriza, Cinthya Carmona, Jero Medina, and Miguel Ángel García. Part of the film was recorded in Colombia.

Jenni Rivera, known as the 'Diva of the Banda', received numerous awards throughout her career, including accolades such as Lo Nuestro, Billboard, and Latin Grammy. Her album 'Jenni' topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums in 2008.

With multiplatinum albums like 'Parrandera, rebelde y atrevida', 'La gran señora', and 'Joyas prestadas', Rivera left a musical legacy with hits like 'Inolvidable' and 'Ya lo sé'. After her death, the Grammy museum dedicated the first exhibition to a Latina artist in 2013, and Long Beach opened the Jenni Rivera Memorial Park in 2016.
