Alec Baldwin Returns to SNL After Legal Battle

Alec Baldwin made his return to the American sketch show Saturday Night Live (SNL) this week, portraying Fox News host Bret Baier in a parody of his recent interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. In the sketch, Baldwin shone alongside Maya Rudolph, who played Harris, as they mocked the combative interview they had.

It is worth mentioning that in 2017, Baldwin was awarded an Emmy for his famous portrayal of then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on the same SNL show. Baldwin's return came after a lawsuit against him was dismissed regarding the tragic incident that occurred on the set of the movie Rust.

The actor had previously expressed that his career could have ended after he accidentally fired a prop gun with a real bullet, resulting in the death of Halyna Hutchins in 2021. Although he was charged with involuntary manslaughter, Baldwin vehemently denied it. After several years of absence, Alec Baldwin returned to SNL, a show he has attended 17 times throughout his career.
