The American Signal Foundation has announced that its popular messaging app Signal now allows users to pin text messages, voice messages, images, videos, polls, and files to the top of the chat window. This makes them easier to find later without needing to search. The US-based company explained that to pin a message in an individual or group chat, users simply need to long-press the message until a context menu appears with the 'Pin message' option. Users can then choose to pin it for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or permanently. Pinned messages can be found again by tapping the bar at the top of the screen. Signal allows pinning up to three messages in a single chat. If a user wants to unpin a specific message, they can do so by long-pressing it and selecting the appropriate option. This new feature is available in the latest versions of Signal for Android (version 7.71), iOS (version 7.93), and desktop (version 7.87).
