Starting in March, residents of the United States move the clock forward by 60 minutes to transition to daylight saving time. This change begins on the first Sunday and continues until November 2.
All time in America was moved 60 minutes forward for the start of daylight saving time. The transition to daylight saving time includes a shift in time by one hour for those who are on the east and central time zones.
"According to traditional custom, before the transition to daylight saving time, residents of the country are supposed to move the clock forward one hour, and on November 2 it returns to standard time."
