S&P 500 Futures Decline Post-Elections

On Friday, stock futures on the S&P 500 index declined as investors posed questions about the further steps of the market after the period of volatility that followed the elections. This occurred against the backdrop of uncertainty in the relationships between the USA and China, as well as expectations of new stimulus for the economy.

Jim Romer, economist and professor, stated: "We all understand that the markets are facing uncertainty. Currently, they find themselves in a state of tension due to a multitude of uncertain factors, such as the situation with COVID-19, the economic policy of the new administration, and trade issues."

Despite the overall downward trend, shares of the largest technology companies, by contrast, remain resilient. Analysts indicate that these companies represent a 'safe haven' for investors in conditions of market uncertainty.
