Wall Street's stock indices closed lower on Tuesday, with high volatility generated by U.S. President Donald Trump's trade threats and their impact on the global economy. The Dow Jones fell 1.14%, the S&P 500 lost 0.76%, and the Nasdaq declined 0.18%. According to analysts from Monex, global stock markets experienced negative results due to Trump's stance on a potential recession in the U.S. Investors are watching the implementation of tariffs on steel and aluminum. In Europe, Spain's IBEX 35 fell 1.57% and Italy's FTSE MIB lost 1.38%. In Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC of the Mexican Stock Exchange fell 0.42% and the FTSE-BIVA of the Institutional Stock Exchange declined 0.32%. Oil prices increased by 0.33% and 0.89% for WTI and Brent respectively, due to projections from the Energy Information Administration about a lower surplus in global oil markets for this year.
