Starship Rocket Explodes During Launch

A new SpaceX Starship rocket exploded in space, showering flaming debris over the Caribbean, according to international reports. This incident occurs just two months after a similar situation left a rain of burning wreckage over the Turks and Caicos Islands. The spacecraft, owned by Elon Musk's company, was launched from Texas, United States.

According to the Associated Press news agency, the debris from the explosion was visible from the skies of Florida. It is still unknown whether the spacecraft's self-destruct system was activated, causing the detonation. The 123-meter-tall rocket was reported to have functioning engines at launch, but there were issues in the stage of the spacecraft that was on top during its trajectory eastward over the Indian Ocean.

"It was not immediately known if the spacecraft's self-destruct system had been activated and caused it to explode," noted the American outlet. The event took place halfway through the launch, leading to loss of contact when the spacecraft entered an uncontrolled spin, as detailed in the technical explanation provided by AP.
