The state regulators reported that the automaker Tesla is recalling around 380,000 vehicles in the USA due to a potential defect. The company announced that the problem relates to a software update used for controlling rearview cameras in models produced between 2017 and 2020. Thanks to this update, drivers could receive video from the rearview camera.
The automobile company stated that if the function is disabled, security problems may arise. Official representatives of Tesla clarified that this defect has not been linked to any incidents or malfunctions; however, to prevent potential problems, they have decided on a recall.
The manufacturer assures its clients that absolute free restoration of rearview camera functionality will be provided. The company will offer a software update for all recalled models of vehicles to eliminate the defect. Tesla expressed regret for any inconveniences related to the execution of this procedure and emphasized its commitment to ensuring safety and convenience for all its clients.
