On Tuesday, the postal service of the USA announced a temporary suspension of mail deliveries from China and Hong Kong.
Postal service representatives noted that this decision was made in connection with the deteriorating epidemiological situation in these regions. Currently, an assessment of the situation is being conducted, and while there is no clear information on when mail deliveries from the mentioned countries will resume.
"We understand the inconvenience that this may cause to our clients, but the safety and health of our employees and service personnel is our priority," the postal service of the USA commented.
Media reported that parcels that are already on the territory of the United States will be processed and delivered to recipients within the established deadlines, regardless of the temporary suspension of new mail deliveries.
