The company "Pepsico" announced its adjusted financial results for the fourth quarter of the year. The corporation's revenue for this period amounted to 22.5 billion dollars, which is a decrease of less than 7% compared to the same period last year.
The main reason for the decrease in revenue is currency fluctuations and other factors related to the pandemic. The company also reported that total sales of products for home consumption increased by 8% due to the popularity of food and beverage products for consumption at home.
At the same time, the sales sector outside the home decreased by 28%, which is related to restrictions and the closure of many retail outlets. During the meeting with shareholders, it was emphasized that the company is taking all measures to support and expand the markets of supply in conditions of uncertainty and changes in the world.
"The pandemic has had a significant impact on our business, and at the same time tested the resilience and flexibility of our business," noted the main executive director of "Pepsico".
He also pointed out that the company sees the pandemic as an opportunity to reassess its strategies and develop sustainable approaches to business.
