US stock markets report positive variations at the session's start, recovering from previous declines due to the Fed's restrictive stance. Economic performance figures show support from consumption, indicating a solid outlook for the US economy heading into 2025.


Positive Variations in US Stock Markets

In the United States, stock markets have recorded positive variations at the beginning of the session, recovering from yesterday's declines caused by the Fed's restrictive stance. Investors are assimilating data on economic performance that shows momentum driven by consumption. The Nasdaq has risen 0.68% to reach 19,768.14 points, followed by the S&P 500 with an increase of 0.41% and the Dow Jones with an increase of 0.28%, standing at 6,064.99 and 44,835.78 points respectively.

Josh Jamner from ClearBridge commented: 'Overall, the U.S. economy is in a solid position heading into 2025, which should support risk assets given the strong link between economic growth and corporate earnings.'

In Europe, markets have also opened in the green. Spain's Ibex 35 has increased by 0.74%, France's CAC 40 by 0.70%, London's FTSE 100 by 0.61%, and Germany's DAX by 0.21%.

Locally, Mexican stock markets have also recorded gains, with the S&P/BMV IPC of the Mexican Stock Exchange rising 1.49% to 52,326.20 points and the FTSE-BIVA of the Institutional Stock Exchange with a rise of 1.12% to 1,053.01 units.

In the international oil market, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) has advanced 0.61% to $73.05 per barrel, while Brent has added 0.50% reaching $76.96 per barrel.
