In the last quarter, economic growth in the USA slowed down, which was due to a decrease in the number of investments. GDP in the country increased overall by 6.9%, while in the previous quarter the figure was 12.3%. Experts indicate that the reason for the decrease in investments was a drop in demand, which may be related to the excess of oil in the market.
Another factor influencing the decline in growth is the increase in inflation. As a result, the rise in prices for goods and services has affected the purchasing power of the population, which also reflected on the activity of investments.
However, despite these trends, economists anticipate a rapid recovery of the US economy in the coming quarters. They assert that the underlying factors causing the slowdown are temporary and will not have a serious impact on the overall dynamics of the economy.
"Despite the slowdown in growth rates in the last quarter, we expect a quick recovery in the coming months. The main sectors of the economy are demonstrating stable development, which allows for the projection of GDP growth in the near future," noted one of the experts.
