Trump Announces Death of Guard Shot Near White House

U.S. President Donald Trump announced this evening the death of one of the guards who had been attacked during a shooting near the White House, while another of his comrades remains hospitalized in serious condition. 'Unfortunately, I must inform you that we have just learned that Sarah Beckstrom, from West Virginia, one of the guards we were talking about, a very respected, young, and magnificent person, has just passed away,' Trump said shortly before initiating a video call with members of the Armed Forces from his residence in Florida during the Thanksgiving holiday. He also stated, 'I want to express the anguish and horror of our entire nation over the terrorist attack perpetrated yesterday in our nation's capital, where a savage monster shot two members of the West Virginia National Guard, deployed in Washington D.C.' According to the Argentine News agency, Beckstrom, 20, died as a result of her injuries, while First Sergeant Andrew Wolfe (24) 'is in very bad condition, fighting for his survival,' the president said. Trump also spoke about the Afghan Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the author of the attack: 'the monster who did this is also in a similar condition, but we're not even going to talk about him. The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that the suspect was brought here by the previous administration, which was such a bad one,' referring to Joe Biden, his predecessor.
