On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon stated in a letter to Harvard University that the university needs to consider risks associated with anti-Semitism.
A senior representative of the U.S. Department of Education informed that the department notified Harvard University of the possibility of billions of dollars in future grants for research and other support as long as the university does not meet the requirements put forth by the administration of President Donald Trump.
"This step represents the latest blow from the Trump administration, which seeks to leverage federal funding to compel various entities, such as legal firms and universities, to introduce sweeping changes in policy, otherwise they risk losing billions of dollars in grants and contracts," the representative said.
