Trump Posts Controversial AI Image as Pope

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, generated controversy by posting an image of himself dressed as the pope on his Truth Social account. In the photo, created with artificial intelligence, Trump appears in a white cassock, mitre, and golden cross, making a gesture that simulates giving a blessing.

In previous statements, Trump expressed that he would like Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan, Archbishop of New York, to be the next pope. The president has also shown interest in taking the position of pope, stating, "I would like to be pope. That would be my number one option."

The image of Trump dressed as the pope arises in the context of the upcoming celebration of the conclave that will choose the successor to Pope Francis, who recently passed away. Trump has suggested that he would be a good option to occupy the papal throne, mentioning that the United States will have ten cardinals in the conclave.

Among the American cardinals who will participate in the election of the new pontiff are Raymond Burke and Robert Prevost, the latter having a prominent role in the Spanish-speaking community. Cardinal Dolan, whom Trump praised, will again be present at this conclave, where the election of the new pope is expected, with the traditional signal of white smoke.

With this publication, Trump has once again drawn attention to himself on religious issues, generating divided opinions about his possible role as pope at a crucial moment for the Catholic Church.
