Trump Warns Zelenski About Peace Agreement

In statements made at the White House, President Trump emphasized that those unwilling to reach a peace agreement with Russia won't last long, referencing Ukraine's Zelenski. He remains optimistic about a rare minerals deal despite recent tensions.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed in the White House his perspective on the peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Trump mentioned that those who are not interested in reaching a peace agreement with Russia, referring to the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, probably will not remain in the current situation for long.

These statements added to Trump’s previous remarks, where he indicated his lack of tolerance for Zelensky’s positions on the possibility of a peace agreement with Russia, as the Ukrainian leader stated that such an agreement was still far off. Trump also mentioned that the attempt to sign an agreement on rare minerals with Ukraine last Friday failed due to a prior conflict between both parties, although he remained optimistic about the possibility of executing such an agreement in the future.

In response to Trump’s statements, Zelensky expressed his willingness to sign the rare minerals agreement with the United States, despite the incident that took place at the White House and concluded with his departure from the venue. Trump highlighted the importance of this agreement for his country and indicated that he would offer more details about it during his speech to Congress.

Furthermore, the American president pointed out that to resume negotiations with Zelensky, the Ukrainian leader should show more gratitude towards the United States, recalling the support that the North American country has provided to Ukraine in various circumstances.
