The President of the United States, Donald Trump, selected Argentine leader Javier Milei during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) taking place in Washington. Both leaders met during the summit. After being introduced at the event, Trump delivered the keynote address at CPAC and acknowledged Milei with a few words: "Our friend from Argentina is here," greeted the U.S. president, praising Milei's work in reducing inflation and expressing his pride in him.

During their meeting at the far-right event, they discussed the innovative economic reforms that Milei is implementing in Argentina and highlighted the importance of collaborating on joint projects between both countries. The Presidency reported that Trump extended an invitation to Milei to visit the White House in the coming months. Also present at the meeting were Karina Milei, Luis Caputo in Economy, Gerardo Werthein in Foreign Affairs, among others.

The CPAC is coming to an end in the U.S. capital. In his speech during the summit, Milei declared that the "era of the omnipresent state" is over and compared the current situation with the perception of change in freedom seen in the 1930s. The Argentine president arrived at the summit amid controversy generated by the dissemination of the token $LIBRA, which has put him at the center of attention not only in Argentina but also internationally.
