AP News Agency Banned from White House Coverage

The American news agency complains that from Tuesday its journalists are prohibited from covering events at the White House due to the refusal to use a new name, chosen by the Republican president. Last week, the acting head of the White House press pool Taylor Budovich stated: "The Associated Press agency continues to ignore the change of the official geographic name used for the gulf in the Gulf of Mexico."

"If the amendment to the U.S. Constitution protecting free speech defends their right to publish obscene and unclean reports, then the president does just that," he added.

As a result, the American press service announced that the Associated Press agency is prohibited from entering the White House and on board the presidential aircraft "Air Force One" until further notice due to the refusal to call the Gulf of Mexico "the Gulf of America."
