Various influential personalities, both from the political and business sectors, have confirmed their attendance at events related to Donald Trump's inauguration. Among them are Altagracia Gómez from Minsa, Carlos Slim from Claro, Francisco Cervantes from the CCE, and Alejandro Malagón from CONCAMIN.
An unofficial event, called "The Hispanic Community Ball," held at the OMNI Shoreham hotel, brought together figures such as Argentine President Javier Milei and tycoon Carlos Slim. However, the Argentine and Mexican press reported a lack of security, chaotic organization, and excessive noise that hindered the participation of the guests.
Meanwhile, at the "cabinet reception," which was part of the official program, American leaders and Trump's team were present, including Alfonso DeAngoitia from TelevisaUnivision and Bernardo Gómez from Grupo Televisa. Notably, Argentine President Milei and Salvadoran President Bukele were absent from this event.
The presence of prominent Mexican personalities at these events reflects the interest in maintaining close relations with the Trump administration and positioning themselves as relevant interlocutors in the renegotiation of the USMCA during his upcoming term.
