Trump's Tariffs Impact US Economy Positively

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated at the Washington headquarters of the Business Roundtable that the tariffs imposed by his administration are having a "tremendously positive impact." At an event attended by top executives from companies such as Cisco Systems, JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup, Trump highlighted that automotive companies have begun to shift their manufacturing plants from Mexico to the United States.

According to Trump, companies like Honda no longer produce in Mexico but have opted to build in U.S. territory, which in his view creates jobs in the country. The president also expressed his confidence that increasing tariffs could lead more companies to relocate to the United States and create more jobs.

These statements come amid the uncertainty generated by the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, which have raised fears of a possible economic slowdown in the country and have affected the stock markets. Despite this, Trump remains steadfast in his position to favor domestic production and claims that the tariffs will benefit the U.S. economy in the long run.

Recently, the president also left open the possibility of suspending additional tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum, which has generated some relief in the markets. However, tariff fluctuations continue to cause nervousness among investors, as evidenced by the recent decline in major stock indices, although to a lesser extent than in previous days.
