Trump's Immigration Policy Takes Shape with Military Deployment

Former President Donald Trump, known for his strong stance against illegal immigration, has fulfilled his promise to implement strict measures as soon as he took office for a second time. One of his first actions was to deploy around 1,500 military personnel at the border with Mexico and authorize mass deportations, as well as the closure of the border. There has been a 60% increase in the number of troops since he began his term.

The Pentagon will facilitate the transfer of more than 5,000 "illegal foreigners" detained in California and Texas via military air transport. For its part, UNHCR has expressed willingness to support Mexico in case of an increase in deportations, offering assistance with personnel and ground presence to help manage refugees.

Regarding specific actions, U.S. authorities have reported the detention of 538 undocumented immigrants and the deportation of hundreds of them in compliance with Trump's orders. In addition, the White House has shared cases of criminals detained in the raids, highlighting its commitment to border security and emphasizing this operation as the largest in the country's history.
