The family of Malcom X, a leader of civil rights, filed a lawsuit for 100 million dollars against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the New York City police. The family claims that the law enforcement agencies concealed evidence about the planned assassination of Malcom X, but did not take measures to prevent the attack.
Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, representing the family, stated at a press conference: "We believe that they all conspired to assassinate Malcom X."
The family of Malcom X approached the federal court with a lawsuit, alleging that the FBI, CIA, and New York police facilitated the assassination.
