FIFA has unveiled the official trophy for the new Club World Cup, which will be lifted by the winning team in the inaugural edition of 2025. The design of this trophy was created in collaboration with the luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. Inspired by elements of the past and the future, the trophy transforms into a multidimensional system that recalls celestial orbits.
Anthony Ledru, president of Tiffany & Co., mentioned that this trophy represents the next chapter in the long tradition of the company of producing sports symbols. The competition will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13 in twelve stadiums distributed across eleven cities.
The trophy, made of 24-carat gold, features laser-engraved inscriptions that represent the history of football, such as a map of the world and the names of the 211 member federations of FIFA. Additionally, it contains engravings in thirteen languages and in Braille, reflecting the geographical and cultural diversity of football and ensuring that the legacy of the tournament is accessible worldwide.
Winners of each edition will receive a replica of the trophy with an inscription of the triumph achieved in the final. This new Club World Cup aims to be an innovative, inclusive, and global competition, and its trophy is intended to convey those characteristics. The presentation ceremony for the trophy will take place on December 5, 2024, during the draw for the competition in Miami, United States.
