Actor and singer Will Smith will join Spanish singer India Martínez to open the Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony. Together they will perform their latest collaboration, titled 'First Love'. The event, organized by the Univisión network, will take place on February 20 in Miami.
Will Smith, a Grammy award winner, will make his debut at this awards show alongside India Martínez during the opening act. Also participating in the opening will be rapper DJ Khaled, Mexican Thalía, and the legendary group Miami Sound Machine. The song 'First Love' is a preview of Smith's upcoming solo album, titled 'Based on a True Story', which will be released in March after nearly 20 years since his last musical work.
This year's Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony will feature well-known figures such as Alejandro Sanz, Becky G, Shakira, Marc Anthony, Laura Pausini, Carín León, and Grupo Frontera, among others. It was also announced that special awards will be given to Alejandro Fernández, La India, and Manuel Alejandro in recognition of their careers.
Becky G and Carín León lead the nominations this year with ten each, followed by Shakira and Myke Towers with nine. Ángela Aguilar is present in eight categories. The ceremony promises to be an exciting event with the participation of prominent personalities from the Latin music scene.
