In the state of Kentucky (USA), two men were shot and killed when they attempted to break into the home of a baby, who opened fire on them. Kentucky state police received a call about shots fired at a home in Manchester around 4:30 a.m. last Saturday. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered two injured men, who soon died.
One of the deceased has been identified as Jeffrey Allen, 51, who died at the scene. The second man, Roger Smith, 44, was taken to a hospital but died later. Police reported that both men tried to break into the home with the intention of stealing firearms from a safe.
One of the children living in the home saw the men armed and shot at them from a pistol until he himself escaped through a window. Police ruled it as self-defense. The child's age, who fired the shot, and how he learned about handling firearms are not specified.
