NBA: LeBron, Curry, and Durant to Play Together in All-Star Game

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the team rosters for the upcoming All-Star Game. For the first time, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant will be on the same team. The All-Star Game will feature a mini-tournament format among three teams—two from the USA ('Team Giannis' and 'Team LeBron') and one from the World—with the top two teams advancing to a final. Team LeBron will consist of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Kawhi Leonard, Norman Powell, and Donovan Mitchell. Team Giannis will be formed by Cade Cunningham, Anthony Edwards, Chet Holmgren, Tyrese Maxey, Jalen Duren, Devin Booker, Scottie Barnes, and Jalen Johnson. The World Team will include Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Karl-Anthony Towns, Pascal Siakam, and Deni Avdija. Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is also on the World Team, though an injury will likely prevent him from participating in the star-studded weekend in Los Angeles. Mitch Johnson (San Antonio Spurs) will coach Team LeBron, J.B. Bickerstaff (Detroit Pistons) will coach Team Giannis, and Darko Rajakovic (Toronto Raptors) will coach the World Team. LeBron James leads all players in All-Star Game appearances with a record 22. He is followed by Kevin Durant (16), Stephen Curry (12), Giannis Antetokounmpo (10), and Nikola Jokic (8). The NBA All-Star Game will be held from February 13-15 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood (Los Angeles).
