The first team of América, which has not yet debuted in Liga MX, has conducted an intense friendly match against Inter Miami in Las Vegas, and now they are organizing their second friendly match of the semester. Through social media, it was announced that next month they will visit LAFC at BMO Stadium. The team led by André Jardine will have a second experience in the United States, facing the Los Angeles team in a match that is expected to be filled with excitement due to the quality of players in both squads.
In a statement about the match, the club informed that part of the earnings obtained will be donated to support relief and recovery efforts after the fires in the Los Angeles area, adding a special touch to this meeting. The match is scheduled for February 11 at 7:30 PM and will be broadcasted through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and Televisa Univisión in Mexico.
The February schedule presents challenges for the Coapa team, as this friendly match will be the third encounter between the two institutions, following the matches in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions League in 2020 and in the Leagues Cup Showcase 2022. This sequence will test the logistics of Jardine's team, as they will face Puebla for Matchday 6 of Liga MX, then they will receive Necaxa at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, and in between these commitments, they will have the friendly against LAFC, totaling three matches in a week from February 7 to 15.
