Sydney Sweeney on partner requirements and new business

Actress Sydney Sweeney, established as one of Hollywood's most influential figures following her role in 'Euphoria', opened up about her private life in a recent interview. The 28-year-old star graced the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine and, leveraging the launch of her own lingerie line, Syrn, spoke candidly about love, politics, and business.

Sweeney, who defines herself as a 'sports girl', clarified that her lifestyle requires a partner who can keep up. She noted that she needs a very specific person who can handle her world. The interview comes months after the confirmation of her separation from businessman Jonathan Davino, with whom she had a relationship for seven and a half years and was engaged until March 2025.

'Someone has to be able to climb a mountain with me, skydive with me. I am self-confident and successful, and I actually don't need a man,' the actress stated. She added that she is looking for someone who can accept her success and independence.

Sweeney admitted that her profile as an empowered woman often works against her in the romantic sphere. As an example, she cited a recent situation: 'There was a guy I liked a lot, but he told me he couldn't handle my world.' According to her, she always goes for what she wants and takes control of the situation.

Despite rumors linking her to music magnate Scooter Braun in August, Sweeney insists she currently relies on her 'incredible group of girlfriends.' The actress also addressed the political controversy, discussing the nickname 'MAGA Barbie' given to her by detractors.

'I was never here to talk about politics. I just have to continue being who I am,' she explained. Sweeney explained that she prefers not to constantly debunk labels, viewing it as a losing battle, as any words would be used against her.

The report coincided with her debut as an entrepreneur. The brand Syrn aims to solve discomfort issues with underwear that the actress herself experienced for years. The debut collection includes inclusive sizes priced under $100, adding to a busy 2026, which includes the premiere of the new season of 'Euphoria'.
