The Mayor of Laredo, Victor Treviño, expressed in an interview with El Financiero: “We proudly welcome you because we have always had that friendship, that bond between the people of Monterrey and Laredo, and we are united for many reasons, commerce, but also in other ways like family, we speak the same language, and we share the same ethnicity.” Treviño also added: “We promote tourism; we want you to come to Laredo for your shopping; we have quite a few new stores, the malls are available, and there will be many offers you can take advantage of shopping, and all this is a very important time for us, and we welcome it with great pleasure.”
For his part, José Alberto Valdez Jr, Manager of Laredo, Texas, highlighted that Black Friday marks the start of the end-of-year sales season. He mentioned: “Especially on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving Day is when there are huge deals; people line up the night before. There are phenomenal discounts that are astonishing; sometimes there’s even a buy-one-get-one-free on televisions and various items, and that’s why there is so much interest; we invite everyone to seize these special discounts.”
The mayor emphasized that people from Nuevo León enjoy this season in the Texas city.
