A woman from Hopkinsville, United States, received a shocking package last week after she opened a parcel expecting medication she had ordered online, only to find various human body parts instead. Scott Daniel, the coroner for Christian County, confirmed to LEX 18 that arms and fingers, which are 'used for medical training', were mistakenly delivered to the woman's home instead of her medication order. Daniel stated that the incident is believed to involve an airline, a shipping company, and a delivery service. The coroner has recovered the mistakenly shipped body parts and transferred them to the morgue, where they will be returned to the shipping company to be delivered to their intended destination. Daniel also confirmed that body parts are sometimes shipped for organ transplants and research purposes.
