The US has reached the absurd point of classifying Cuba as a threat to its national security, while simultaneously pressuring countries that supply it with oil. It is the United States that has always been a threat to Cuba and many other countries. The blockade affects all aspects and sectors of Cuban society. The solidarity of the peoples of the world is more important than ever at this time when US President Donald Trump is making direct threats against Cuba, including military aggression. The triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 was a victory not only over the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista, but also against the US imperialism that supported it. This is a genocidal policy aimed at subduing a people fighting for its sovereignty and right to make its own decisions. The resistance of the Cuban people is an example to the world. The Cuban population and political leadership have remained firm in their revolutionary principles and in the construction of socialism in the face of the aforementioned adversities, maintaining the accessibility of essential services for the entire population. An invasion attempt, countless terrorist acts, assassination attempts against Fidel, terrorist acts, and a constant media campaign of disinformation and lies. Today, the current US administration escalates its threats against Cuba, amidst aggressions against other nations in the region and the world. The aggression against Cuba is not limited to the blockade. Led and inspired by Fidel Castro, the Cuban people set out to build a society on the basis of equality and true independence. It is important to note that the International Community has been forcefully expressed in favor of the lifting of the blockade, through 33 resolutions approved by the United Nations General Assembly.
