Mike Tyson Reflects on Final Fight Loss

American boxing legend Mike Tyson stated that he does not regret his return to the ring for the last bout and the defeat against Jake Paul last week, after feeling he almost lost his life in June. The fight took place in Texas and concluded with a victory for the well-known YouTuber Paul (27 years old) by decision of the judges in the bout with Tyson (58 years old), a former world champion in super heavyweight.

In June of last year, the fight was postponed from July 20 to November 15 due to health problems for Tyson, when his condition was diagnosed as a complicated case of a stroke. It was reported that Tyson underwent a medical situation during his journey from Mayan to Los Angeles and required medical attention.

On his page on social media, on the evening of the fight, Tyson wrote that in June he "felt like he was not dead" after undergoing eight blood transfusions, yet he was still "grateful" for the chance to return to the ring "for the last time." He added: "This is one of those situations when you lose, but you still win. I am grateful for the past night, I do not regret my bout for the last time."

Tyson continued: "I felt like I was not dead in June, I underwent all eight blood transfusions, lost half my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital, and I had to fight to regain my health." He emphasized that "seeing his children, how they stand there and look at me after I went through all the rounds with a talented boxer in half of my life at the incredibly amazing Dallas stadium — it is an experience that any person would want to feel... Thank you to you."
