An Ohio woman has won a massive $5 million jackpot from a scratch-off lottery ticket. This incredible stroke of luck occurred just a few years after her husband won $1 million in a different lottery game. The resident of Pickaway County shared the details of her amazing discovery with Ohio Lottery officials.
She purchased the winning "Ultimate" ticket at a Kroger store on Lancaster Pike in Circleville. Initially, the winner thought she had won a modest $20,000 prize. However, after scanning the ticket at the store, the amount appeared to jump to $200,000.
It wasn't until she finished scratching the ticket at home that she realized the true extent of her win. She had secured the grand prize of $200,000 a year for 25 years, totaling $5 million. The massive jackpot was a huge surprise, especially considering her husband's previous lottery success.
According to UPI, the lucky winner shared her plans for the money. She stated that the winnings will allow her to retire.
Additionally, she plans to fund a once-in-a-lifetime overnight stay at the "A Christmas Story" house and take a trip to Florida to swim with manatees. She also intends to return to college, spoil her dogs, and make some new investments.
